Beck and Wilkenfeld Rippin’ It

This is Jeff Beck performing, Cause We Ended As Lovers, with the effervescent, Tal Wilkenfeld on bass. My fellow blogger and internet pal, Tim over at Guitars and Theology brought this to my attention when he posted a video of a different rendition of the song, also featuring Beck and Wilkenfeld.

With Beck’s ethereal, otherworldly chops and Wilkenfeld’s supremely tasteful and melodic bass lines, this tune absolutely soars. I’m told that this particular night, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were among those in attendance. Hope you enjoy.
