GT Player of the Month: January

acoustic_thm

acoustic_thmWell, it’s been over a month since I last posted to this blog and no wonder. A lot has happened between now and the last post.

First, my baby girl was born the week before Christmas. Then it was a mad dash trying to finish getting everything prepared for the Christmas holiday after we got out of the hospital…

jripThis month’s GT Player of the Month is new to Guitar Therapy. Yet, he has shown remarkable progress for a green horn, having already completed one project and begun another in just six weeks of instruction.

His attitude is positive. You can tell he is genuinely glad to be here and that he appreciates his teacher’s perspective on things. His drive and determination is evident in the way he works hard to complete his projects and to implement some of the more formal aspects of his guitar instruction. As a result, this student shows improvement every week.

He’s also a star athlete and an honor student ta boot. His baseball team the Hoosier Hill Titans finished first out of 1700 USSSA baseball teams nationwide this past year. He’s got the potential to go anywhere his mind will take him and he demonstrates that in the way he lives out his life…both on and off the fretboard.

Therefore, I am proud to announce that Jordan Ripperdan has won the GT Player of the Month Award for January. For winning this award Jordan will receive his choice of up to two guitar related accessories, courtesy of Conrad Music Service, and be eligible for next year’s GT Player of the Year.

Finally, watch this blog for details on the winner of the 2009 GT Player of the Year Award. The winner will be announced this week.

Thanks to all GT members for your support and your dedication. Here’s looking forward to another great year.
