As most of you know, I have a program called the GT Player of the Month. The program rewards students who show the best improvement for a given month above their overall best. This month’s winner is both disciplined and capable.
Having only been with me approximately 6 weeks, this student has already completed his first project and is well on his way to finishing his second.
Of course, he demonstrates all the usual attributes of a GT Player of the Month: He practices regularly and in sufficient duration; he shows up for his sessions each week; when he gets here, he’s loaded for bear and ready learn; his attitude is stellar. The result? He makes consistent improvement in his playing each week. That means in a year’s time, he will have made a substantial improvement over where he is today. And as he continues to grow in both knowledge and sophistication as a player, he will only accelerate that much faster toward his goals as a guitarist.
Therefore, I’m proud to announce that the GT Player of the Month for March is Quinn Kaiser. For winning this award, Quinn will receive a peg-winder and a new set of guitar strings courtesy of Conrad Music Service. He will also be eligible to win the GT Player of the Year award. The winner of this prestigious award, will claim a grand prize (yet to be announced), have a place of honor on the GT website, and have bragging rights as the GT Player of the Year for 2010.
Congratulations Quinn!
