Every month I profile a player who exemplifies what it takes to be a GT Player of the Month. This month’s winner is proving he has the right stuff to go to the next level. In the past month he has shown continued progress on an exponential curve. This is evident from how quickly he is assimilating techniques learned in our sessions. His attitude is stellar and he always shows up with his game face on, ready to dive into the next project or technique.

His most recently completed project is the Scorpions’ Rock You like a Hurricane, complete with solo. That’s quite an accomplishment in itself. Now he is busy with the refining and mastering of this project, which I know he will do in short order.

He’s eager to learn new chops and it’s obvious in how he comes to our sessions prepared, that he does the hard work of practicing those chops at home. He’s serious about the guitar, but he has fun with it too. With that kind of fire-in-the-belly drive and intensity, I can foresee great things for this up and coming player. And to top it all off, he’s a great guy ta boot. Therefore, it gives me great pleasure to name Jon Smith as the GT Player of the Month for November.

For winning this award, Jon will receive accessories from Conrad Music Service, be the featured member on our social network, and be eligible for the GT Player of the Year Award. This prestigious award carries with it a grand prize (yet to be announced) and bragging rights for the entire year.

Congratulations Jon on a job well done!

To all GT Members thank you for your support and commitment to Guitar Therapy.
